28/10/2017 - St. Judes Day Celebrations
To celebrate our children and create happy memories with them, St. Judes' Day was celebrated across the country. The children had a gala time as they got temporary tattoos, played on bouncing castles, watched puppet shows and ate tasty food! At Jaipur, the centre grounds were arranged like a fete, with multiple games for our children to participate in. Karan, Piyush and Ansh along with the other children won board games and edible goodies! The children were later served a delicious meal along with their favourite Black Forrest pastry and chips. There was plenty of dancing at Jaipur and at Hyderabad too! Mothers in Hyderabad performed a dance to a classic Telegu song. Karthik and Kali two of our children spoke about the history of St. Judes and it's support, after which parents gave moving testimonies of the support they have received from St. Judes in Hyderabad. The children were also treated to a puppet show and were given balloon animals to keep. Families in Delhi felt like super stars, when Book My Show treated them to a screening of 'Secret Superstar', they later enjoyed a nutritious community meal as well. In Kolkata St. Judes' former Chairperson addressed the families, after which they enjoyed dance performances by the children. Outdoor games were arranged and the children thoroughly enjoyed riding a toy train around the centre, families were also given a hearty meal which they enjoyed! In Mumbai a clown dropped by and had an enjoyable time showing our children tricks and making them try riding his unicycle! In Kharghar many party games were played after an inspirational speech made by our Chairperson, bangles were also gifted to our mothers making their eyes sparkle. The wonderful games at Kharghar were made possible thanks to the Innerwheel Club of Navi Mumbai.
